Dale Love, a long-time resident of Sacramento, California, drew his last breath on Sunday, August 18, 2013, with his son, Larry, at his bedside. He was 80 years old. He is survived by his second wife, Moung “Phan” Saephan Love, and her three children, Stefanee, Rick, and Danly. Dale was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Voncelle Boyman Love, who went on to heaven on April 3, 1993, and is survived by their two children, Linda Lee Love and Lawrence Lon Love. Dale and Phan have five grandchildren, Lilly, Brandon, Darren, Marie, and Kristen.
Born in 1933 in Apache, Arizona, Dale Love is the son of Alvin Jerome “Red” Love and Gwendolyn Lucille Miller Love. He grew up on a ranch in Douglas with nine siblings. Three of his siblings, Jimmy, Patsy, and Ellen, predeceased him; his five surviving siblings are Bertha Mae, Ruth Ann, Vickie Jo, Allen, and Ruby Gay.
A loving and devoted husband, father, and true friend to all those whose lives he touched, Dale will be remembered and celebrated at 10AM, August 24,2013, in Sacramento.
An additional family celebration will be held in New Mexico during the “Love Family Reunion,” one of his favorite gatherings that he often attended.
