Celebration of Dale Love's Life

What an incredible memorial service we held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 for my dad. My high school friends from Elk Grove came through BIG TIME. Cindy and Albert Edwards provided all the centerpieces (lovely bud vases with a red rose in each and some bigger arrangements as well). Faye and Bob Krull picked up all the food we ordered from Costco and delivered it to the social hall, as well as purchasing all the ice needed to keep things cold. My friend, Pamela Rose Kusilek from Orange County, drove me up to Sacramento and coordinated the entire reception following the service. She didn't know any of my friends up here, but she does now! We stayed with long-time family friend Paige Berry while we were in Sacramento from Thursday through Monday. The service itself was incredible. There were a couple of slide shows of my dad's life, songs were dedicated to him, friends and family shared the impact Dad made on their life -- it was wonderful. My brother, Larry, read what our dad had written about his life to the crowd of about 250 people gathered in Central's Sanctuary. His wife, Muong Phan, and her children honored him with their loving tributes. Dad is happy in heaven, and those of us left behind are better for having him as a part of our lives.
